The University of Victoria invites applications for a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Critical Disability and Social Justice Studies.

The Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta invites applications for the position of Department Chair. WGS at the U of A is a lively, diverse, and growing program that offers honors, major, minor in WGS in addition a newly introduced undergraduate certificate in Sexuality Studies and an MA in Gender and Social Justice Studies. The Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a nine-month full-time sessional position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor to begin August 15, 2023. This position is a sabbatical replacement.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Women’s and Gender Studies or a closely related field or be near completion of such. Candidates should also have experience in undergraduate teaching in the field. Overview of the historical emergence of trans-(gender) feminisms. Focus on debates across trans, queer, and feminist scholarship, methodology, and activism. Consideration of the politics of sex/gender transformation vis-à-vis ‘race’, ‘culture’, sexuality, class, and social justice.
